- Cold sensitivity you can pin point--
You may have a hole, we may be able to fix it with a filling/restoration (composite or other materials). If we can't determine the cause of the sensitivity, we will need to do a full exam (exam incl. 2 Xrays is $40) first.
- Hot and cold sensitivity you can pin point--
Sometimes this area can also be tender to pressure. You may need a nerve filling (also known as root canal treatment) or the tooth may need to be removed (extraction, minor oral surgery). If we can't determine the cause of of the sensitivity, we will need to do a full exam first.
- Sensitivity you can't pin point--
You may have several holes or a gum condition (gingivitis or periodontitis) or it may be another condition. We will need to do a full mouth exam for you.
